  • What is eXXpedition North Pacific 2018?

In Summer 2018, I joined a crew of extraordinary women to sail from Vancouver to Seattle looking at the impact of plastics and toxics pollution on our oceans and coastline communities. During the voyage, we carried out citizen science to gather data and samples for scientists all over the world, and will run outreach events with local communities to open the conversation around plastic use, product redesign and waste management.

    What was my role?

During North Pacific, I worked for eXXpedition as Office Manager, so I was very involved in the organisation of the two voyages in June and July 2018, including the sail from Vancouver to Seattle. This includes logistical planning, crew management, content creation and anything else that's needed! I am also sailing from Vancouver to Seattle as a crew member on board our scientific yacht Sea Dragon.
